I can’t quite believe that I’m talking about Christmas already but this year has been special in many ways – let’s just add this to the list of grievances for the Grinch.
With Australian and international book titles currently in high demand, supply shortages are in effect and wait-times are much longer than usual. As a result, we recommend that you buy, order and pre-order your books for Christmas in October and November.
At Mostly Books, our firm cut-offs for Christmas ordering are in the first week of December, but we are a bit hesitant about guaranteeing delivery of books ordered at that point. Once it’s gone from the shelves or the warehouse, we might not see that title again until 2021! Plus, space is limited for in-store browsing, which will only intensify as December creeps closer.
So, our overwhelming message is: imagine Christmas is on November 25 this year and plan accordingly!
Over the past 6 months, we have been beavering away behind the scenes to bring you our new, totally Covidsafe online shop, alongside our beautifully revamped website! You can browse our catalogue and choose your gifts from the comfort of your own home – and we can still wrap these for collection in-store or delivery.
Watch this space for our recommendations for stand-out books over the coming month – this year there really is something here for everyone in your life.
