Adelaide Writers’ Week 2021

Good news! The Adelaide Writers’ Week programme has arrived and we have plenty to share around. Adelaide Writers’ Week 2021 will take place 27 February – 4 March as usual at the Pioneer Women’s Memorial Garden. An exciting line-up of Australian writers will be there in person and international writers will join via digital livestream. Adelaide Writers’ Week 2020 was one of the last big events before lockdown and now it will be one of the first big events to kick us off in 2021! This year COVID safety protocols will be implemented across the festival but we are so excited and grateful that we can still immerse ourselves in the healing power of literature together.

We’re looking forward to devoting some much deserved attention to the superstar writers right here in Australia, just to name a few: Nardi Simpson, Katherine Tamiko Arguile, Julia Baird, Davina Bell, Trent Dalton, Julia Gillard, Kate Grenville, Sofie Laguna, Craig Silvey, Jessie Tu, Pip Williams and Adam Briggs alongside some favourite and debut international authors. Among the writers zooming in we’re especially looking forward to hearing from Arundhati Roy, C Pam Zhang, Fernanda Melchor, Megha Majumdar, Emily St. John Mandel, Sigrid Nunez, Colum McCann, Maaza Mengiste and Phillipe Sands – just to name a few!
