We have some exciting news for the start of 2022: one of our most familiar faces has cemented herself as part of the business!
Charmaine and Annie are delighted to announce that they have entered into partnership as joint owners of Mostly Books. Since the store opened in 1977, it has only changed hands once before. The founding owner Jacqueline Cookes sold the business in 2010 to Charmaine Power and her partner David Meldrum. Twelve years later, they are joined in partnership with Annie Waters, who has worked at Mostly Books since 2013 and has managed the store since 2017.
We are very excited to continue to work together to build community, champion independent bookshops and sell wonderful books in this new chapter in Mostly Books’ history.
